The Wellness Team holds monthly (September-June) lipid screenings and often provides blood pressure and other screenings during special events.

Lipid screenings include:
- total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, ratio and triglycerides - $10.00
- blood sugar - no charge
- free stroke assessment
For accurate lipid screening results you must be fasting for 12 hours prior to test (black coffee & water okay). Fasting is not required for blood sugar screening. Information about results provided by "'The Lipid Center," a service of James Rhyne, MD.
Colorectal Cancer Screening
You can pick up a free colorectal cancer screening kit at our Women's Health Center during regular business hours (Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM and Saturdays, 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM). You are also welcome to call 704-878-4550 or fill out a request form to receive one by mail. These are simple kits that can be used at home and sent to the hospital's medical laboratory by mail. You will receive your results promptly. Remember, colorectal cancer is curable when detected early.
Iredell Memorial Hospital's Health Care System is a Community Cancer Center approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and provides this screening service free of charge.
