Community Cancer Program

Iredell Health System has been accredited with commendation as a Community Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.

Support

Cancer patients at Iredell Memorial will receive medical, emotional and spiritual support from our nurses, chaplain, physicians and other staff members.

We also assist or sponsor cancer support groups that are always free to attend.

Living With Cancer
Meets at 11:00 AM on the 4th Tuesday of each week in the hospital's One West Living Room. Cancer patients and their spouses are invited to attend for fellowship, information and lunch. There is no charge. For information, contact Rev. Thomas Sherrod, chaplain, at 704-878-5661, extension 3414.

Look Good, Feel Better
American Cancer Society program that helps women who are undergoing cancer treatment learn to cope with the appearance-related side effects of treatment and to regain a sense of self-confidence and control over their lives. Meets at 10:00 AM, on the 3rd Monday of every other month, at Beth & Company, 114 N. Center St.

Remaining 2012 dates: July 16, September 17 and November 12.

Light refreshments will be served. Each registered patient will receive a free cosmetic kit (valued at $250). You must pre-register to attend.
